  • Ontario Exporters Fund -this program matches up to $40K per year the first two year salaries of a business development manager hired by an eligible company (new hire, Ontario payroll).
  • Export Market Access –  eligible companies may benefit from up to $30k in total, up to twice a year, for up to 50% of business development expenses such as participation in trade shows as independent exhibitors or Ontario Missions, travel and accommodation and development of marketing materials.
  • Going Global Innovation –  GGI provides $5K to $75K to support in-person discussion, meetings and related activities to solidify a global R&D partnership.

Mobile Application for iPhone Allows Canadian Tulip Festival Visitors to Personalize and Share Their Experience, and Automatically Find Clues to Treasure

The Canadian Tulip Festival ( announced today that it has partnered with Purple Forge to create a mobile application for iPhones that allows users to create postcards on-the-fly by selecting their own stamps, themes and photographs of the festival that can be shared with their friends using email, Twitter or Facebook. Combined with event schedules, video, QR code scanner and weather information, the application is the go-to mobile electronic guide for The Canadian Tulip Festival and The Great Canadian Tulip Treasure Hunt.

There are 60 prizes to be won in the treasure hunt at this year’s 60th anniversary edition of The Canadian Tulip Festival. To qualify to win, anyone over 18–with or without an iPhone– just has to visit any six of the many designated treasure hunt locations where they will be given a clue, and then submit the six different clues they collect to the Festival’s web site. For contestants with iPhones, it’s now even easier: by downloading the location-based app from Purple Forge they can register at the touch of a button from any designated clue location and automatically get credited with having successfully found a “clue.” Complete information and rules for the treasure hunt are at
